Kid Stuff

So here’s the deal - in Burlington I can sign my kids up for a sport (baseball, softball, football, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, etc.) for $16 per season. Baseball season lasts from April through July, so that’s four bucks a month. And normally a local business sponsors the team and pays for some or all of the uniform. Other cities and counties have similar rates.
But if my kids want to participate in karate or dance, it seems like we’re in for at least ten times as much per month, plus buying one or more uniforms. Cam wants to do karate, and Kier wants to dance. And I don’t really care about professional instructors, travelling to competitions, participating in tournaments, etc. They’re not training to be professionals, they’re kids participating in an activity and hopefully learning some new skills and having fun. Is there another option out there that I’m just not aware of?
