Threatening and Non-Threatening

Tadd from Pine Ridge Church says, “it was amazing to hear just how much other pastors in this town really don’t like me or our church.”  My boy Atkins goes all 300 on the critics and writes, “So send your arrows of criticism and may they be so numerous that they blot out the sun.   We will fight in the shade.”

The Rev. Sandra Smith of the Center for Spiritual Living in Graham says, “we believe Jesus spoke the word of God, but we don’t believe he was the only way to God” and “described God as the creative, loving force and energy behind everything in the universe. The church believes God is in everyone and everything.”  Yet, “she’s encountered no hostility after moving to Alamance County.”

There are about 425 churches in Alamance County, so there are probably about 500 pastors, and they’re a lot tougher on the people who might hurt their bottom line than on the people they may see as harmless curiosities.

  1. Thanks for the post bro…it’s amazing the controversy that gets stirred up when you start doing something different. It blows my mind!
