The Democrats are trying to make this election a referendum on President Bush and Iraq. The Republicans are trying to hold on to power by scaring people with visions of a Democratic Congress that will raise taxes.

Took the kids to Grandfather Mountain today. Had a great time. The mountaintop and the mile-high bridge were closed due to strong winds, but we got to see the animals and the museum.
