Amazon Honor System
By Brian on Dec 29, 2004
Amazon.com has coordinated more than $2.5 million in donations for tsunami relief. That’s almost 10% of the United States’ $35 million pledge, and I suspect it is larger than most nations are pledging. I think Japan has pledged $30 million. Anyone have a link for a list of contributing nations or contributing corporations?
As the nation-state is replaced by the corporation as the primary organizing structure of society it’s interesting to see it playing out in relief efforts as well.
