Here’s what our day was

Here’s what our day was like on Friday:

12:00am CST: went to bed at the in-laws’ house after finishing our packing
3:15am CST: woke up to go to Indianapolis International Airport
4:10am CST: left for the airport
4:45am CST: arrived at airport, checked our bags, and got boarding passes
4:50am CST: breakfast at McDonald’s in the airport
5:05am CST: went through security. had to remove my shoes and turn on my laptop
6:19am CST: took off for Denver
7:25am CST: started watching Monty Python and the Holy Grail on my laptop
9:00am CST (8:00am MT): landed in Denver. softest landing I’ve ever had in an airplane
9:10am MT: departed DIA in rental car, headed toward Colorado Springs
9:30am MT: stopped at McDonald’s outside Colorado Springs for 2nd breakfast. I feel like a hobbit
10:00am MT: toured the Air Force Academy
11:45am MT: toured Focus on the Family
2:45pm MT: toured Garden of the Gods after eating lunch at Quizno’s. absolutely amazing (the scenery at Garden of the Gods, not our food at Quizno’s). I’ll post pictures soon
4:30pm MT: began the drive to Boulder
6:00pm MT: checked into Hotel Boulderado
6:30pm MT: ate dinner at Chick-Fil-A
7:15pm MT: went to the movie theater to try to see Shrek 2. it was sold out
7:45pm MT: went to another movie theater to try to see Shreak 2. it was sold out too
8:15pm MT: went to Wal-Mart to buy some snacks for the room and find a sweatshirt for Gretchen. Wal-Mart didn’t have any sweatshirts (by the way, the high temp Friday was about 63 degrees. and Wal-Mart didn’t have any sweatshirts)
9:15pm MT: went to Target to find a sweatshirt for Gretchen. Target didn’t have any sweatshirts (by the way, the high temp Friday was about 63 degrees. and Target didn’t have any sweatshirts). Luckily, Target did have a light jacket for Gretchen
10:15pm MT (11:15 CST): we arrive back at our hotel room and end our day, 20 hours and about 1400 total miles afte it began
