PAGITTblog: “Rhythm with God in life will replace belief in God as the goal of a Christian life. Belief is a means to that end – life lived in rhythm with God. Not the other way around.”

I’ve been chewing on this quote today after I saw it on Doug Pagitt’s blog. I’m trying to hold on to that thought for a while and let it really sink into my soul. Being in rhythm with God. What do I like best about that concept? Believing in God is a one-shot-deal, one-point-in-time, “this is when I started to believe in God” kind of thing, but living in rhythm with God is unavoidably a 24/7/365 pursuit.
