Op-Ed Columnist: War of Ideas, Part 3

This is a great picture of what’s at stake as we attempt “nation building” with Iraq. It’s much bigger than who wins the 2004 US Presidential election (though this election will certainly have an enormous impact on the future of Iraq, as someone like President Dean may pull our troops out of Iraq rapidly, leaving the nation, and by extension the entire region, in chaos).

I need to dedicate myself to prayer for Iraq: for our troops and administrators there, for President Bush, for the Iraqi governing council, for the Christians in Iraq, for commentators to rise up with a powerful but moderate voice about reconciliation and Iraqi brotherhood.
